THIS IS HOW IT STARTED

November 2020 we had our wedding, well we got married in April but had our celebration and “renewal” with our friends and family-what a year. On our way back from our honeymoon I told Jesse that I was thinking about starting an Instagram account, something as a hobby and maybe make a blog. I was not really sure the direction it was going to go, but after a quick brain storm I picked the name and the next day I bought the website.

We get back home and I am trying to decide the direction I wanted to go. Do I want to create things? We were in a rental so we couldn’t do anything permanent like painting walls or attaching more than hanging a frame, so that’s out. I could post about the wedding, ideas, tips.. but I quickly found out I didn’t know what to do. I lived in cute little brick rental home for almost four years before Jesse and I got married, and then he moved in. I just never felt like I had space to invite people in. Closed off kitchen, one space for living/dining, and one SMALL bathroom, I was just always on edge when people were there. It felt like a house with a magnifying glass, the imperfect felt like it was glaring, but the intentional things felt like they were getting lost. I hoped we would be out of there soon, but it wasn’t promised and rent was not expensive so there was no point leaving. I was pretty stumped on where I could go with a blog, so I just stopped.

And then God laughed, six months later we bought our house. Not just a house, but one that needs a lot of work which means ALOT of projects. I instantly felt like I had things I wanted to do and share! I can’t tell you everything is going to look like right out of a magazine or that it’s going to be your cup of tea, but I can follow along and see what you think.
